Into the fourth week of lockdown, I was supposed to be in Barcelona last weekend but Spain didn’t want me and all things considered I didn’t really want to go. So, the back garden it is – at least we have a big one, with trees and flowers and stuff.
This is a Poet’s Narcissus (or narcissus poeticus), a trendy sort of daffodil and the narcissus of ancient times; more usually linked to the ancient Greeks than to Wales. It is supposed to be extremely fragrant but maybe I’ve lost my sense of smell – apparently that’s not supposed to be a good thing…
