Singapore for the day and it rained, all day. Non-stop. I didn’t buy t-shirts or heavily discounted electrical goods, I bought an umbrella.
But the Botanic Gardens, established in 1859 on sixty acres of disused plantation – now in the heart of the city, was quieter than usual; something to do with the weather, tropical rain and family picnics don’t really make for a fun day out.
Apart from the odd soggy jogger and small damp family groups, I had the place to myself – waiting for locals under umbrellas to fill the frame.
