It’s the Goodwood Road Racing Company’s 78th Members’ Meeting and there’s a very eclectic mix of vehicles on show – on the track and in the paddocks.
There’s everything from Edwardian racing cars (yes, racing) to Gordon Murray’s somewhat more modern and long-awaited T.50 supercar. It makes a splendid whine as it powers down the home straight and uses a fan rather than a wing to keep its backside on the ground – what will they think of next..?
But despite them all, it’s still the Morgan Plus 4 – this one from 1961 – that catches my eye; hardly different at all (ok, so no ABS or Bluetooth) from the 2021 version I drove over Gospel Pass, just two weeks ago.
